While a write up on the Bourke Street Bakery will hardly be a revelation for some Sydneysiders I figure any store that has customers loyal enough to patiently queue for their coffee and baked goodness on a daily basis deserves a shout out. This buzzy little boulangerie in Surry Hills – along with sister outlets in Potts Point, Marrickville and Alexandria – is the old reliable when it comes to the most delish baked goods and sweet treats including artisan breads, pastries, sandwiches, tarts, muffins, cakes, pizza, quiches and more. Yum.
I always make Bourke St bakery one of my first Sydney stops on my annual visit… those ginger creme brulee tarts are worth the 22hr flight!
