A disobedient boy called Max is sent to bed without his supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest grows out of his imagination, and Max journeys to the land of the Wild Things. They are fearsome looking monsters, but Max conquers them and soon becomes their king by taking off his jacket and showing them his cool new t-shirt.
