Burning down the house
Thursday, 3rd March 2005
Tea cosies make me nervous. When I was about 14 we had a tea cosy in the shape of chicken. But instead of keeping it on the teapot, my mum used it to hide our ugly toaster. Of course keeping a highly flammable polyester chicken on top of a dodgy appliance is never a good idea, especially when there's someone like me in the house that forgets to turn toasters off. I feel better for sharing that with you.
