There were giant balloons, mic-mounted fibre-optic cameras, confetti, a stage full of people dressed as furry animals, glove puppets, giant fake fists and kick-ass projections featuring a semi nude biker chick (a la Richard Prince) dancing strangely in the night all somehow choreographed to the super loud and touchingly earnest FLAMING LIPS. They also have these cool – “genuine” – band t-shirts – so if you have any friends in Adelaide or Perth – get them to get you one. NOW!
