They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and who knows, maybe some girls really believe it. But my best friend is much rougher (and much more important to me) than a diamond. She’s so rough that you would all know her by now after years of reading my stories about her waking up under a pile of coats, rolling around in rugs on dance floors, getting around in fake moustaches. Rough as she is, she’s overseas and I miss her. No matter how hard it is to find the refinement under all that mud, I wish she’d come home.
