Cocolo handspun scarf with shell button, $90. Large sizes also available. Made to order through www.fork.net/cocolo
I recently lost my favourite scarf. It was one of those rare finds you stumble across when you’re eating scones at a roadhouse just out of Apollo Bay. You know the type. Anyway, I thought I was doomed to never find a worthy replacement. But then a friend of mine introduced me to Kumi and her beautiful handmade scarves. Each design is lovingly knitted using hand-spun Japanese wool – which is about ten times softer than a baby duck. After a few hours of therapeutic scarf patting, I’m actually quite looking forward to winter.
