Usually I wouldn’t tolerate the appearance of ‘Fun’ and ‘Bike Shorts’ in the same sentence, so I couldn’t help but see the funny side of this unlikely pairing while perusing the Bicycle Film Festival brochure last night. In the context of this particular festival ‘Fun Bike Shorts’ refers to the twelve short films put together to celebrate our beloved mechanical companion. Not the neon Lycra catastrophes that have become the butt of other people’s jokes. A joke which I, for one, will never tyre of.
