Australia would have to be one of the few places there is a market for the frilly bikini bottom, a la 3 year old girl running around at Rye front beach. The Europeans’ bikinis are so minuscule that you only really see them if you stand very, very close by which time you wonder why they bothered. The Americans wear your standard up-tight, highly-strung, prudish one-piece (I believe maillot may be the strictly correct term). Rash (pardon the pun) generalisations maybe, but can you think of anywhere else where grown women would get away with this? We are so damn cute ain’t we?
