Ancient Egyptians believed flamingos to be the living representation of the god Ra. I can see why, they seem so majestic and mysterious. For many of us though flamingos represent one of the most important times ever, the 80’s. An era when plastic flamingos were all the rage at garden parties and the shade of flamingo was perfect for dress, lipstick, blush and eye shadow, all worn at once. I have faith the flamingo can transcend and become a symbol for a new era in fashion; Lady Gaga is morphing into one right now.
