90s

Grunge girl of today

Band t-shirts, denim jackets, flannel shirts, docs and chucks are all essentials in one’s wardrobe if they want to channel 90s grunge.

There is a current resurgence of the youth rebellion against sociological forms and the hierarchical structure in place within society that can be seen in the youth culture of the 90s. It is not a surprise that this rebellion is pushing the resurgence of the sociocultural trend.

The 90’s were an extension of the rebellion of the youth of the 80’s. Nirvana was leading the way and youth music culture was rife. Music was expressive and influential; Fashion was operating in an anti fashion and anti establishment manner. This anti fashion and anti establishment trend can be seen within Australian market at the moment.
