Michi was born in Japan (hence the name Michi) and moved back to Australia when she was two, so she has always had a passion for all things Japanese as well as a strong desire to return and learn the language. In particular, Michi loves the Japanese quirky sense of fashion, and their ability to create products which aren’t only practical but also great in terms of design and aesthetics. Before commencing her studies in Architecture at University next year, Michi thought it would be fun to go on student exchange, and so Tokyo has been home for the past year, giving her the chance to be immersed in Japanese culture and absorb all this amazing city has to offer. Now we can immerse too.
